I get it. You want high-end home decor, but might not have the finances to purchase it. That shouldn't mean that you miss out on the look you want–and there are a number of stores designed to help you achieve your desired style.
Below are a few of my recommendations... where are your favorite places to find a bargain?
Like Home Goods, but with a web-searchable inventory. Don't forget about Pier One on your hunt for a deal–they have everything from candles to outdoor furniture, and the prices are so good you'll find yourself buying multiples. They also have a great variety of colors and styles, and are a wallet-safe option for those looking to try a trend without breaking the bank.
As the name suggests, Uncommon Goods features beautiful, unique housewares (like these fun doormats) for the decorator with personality. You'll definitely avoid the IKEA Blahs by picking up a few trinkets from here, and they also feature jewelry, crafts, and pet swag.
Run, do not walk. These sites, owned by the same company, feature designer and designer-quality furniture at amazing prices (think sectionals under $1,000). Shipping can sometimes take awhile, but for the end product, it's worth it.
If you're in Northern Virginia, you're in luck–there's a CB2 not far away in Georgetown! I'm a Crate & Barrel lover, but some of their prices can get pretty steep. CB2 is their lower-cost alternative for those of us who don't want to go overboard. Look at this gorgeous plate for $1.95!
